The Cultural Anthropology Course at Kobe University is one of the leading anthropology research and educational institutions in Japan, featuring five full-time faculty members. Faculty members are diverse, including anthropologists from other courses, part-time instructors, and anthropologists affiliated with institutes, all of whom have a network of collaborative relationships.

With multiple ongoing projects, there are numerous opportunities to engage in investigation and research.

For outstanding and highly motivated graduate students, there is also a unique scholarship system that can be utilized freely for independent long-term fieldwork.
